On Aug. 4 at approximately 1:33 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop at Illinois Route 251 and Dutch Road. After an investigation, deputies arrested Antonio Cerrito-Olivares, 36, of Rockford, for driving while his license was revoked, with no insurance, and expired registration.  Cerrito-Olivares was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he received citations for the above charges and was released after processing on a notice to appear.  Cerrito-Olivares vehicle was towed from the scene.

Ogle County Sheriff’s Report: Aug. 4-5, 2024

OREGON — On Aug. 4 at approximately 1:33 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop at Illinois Route 251 and Dutch Road. After an investigation, deputies arrested Antonio Cerrito-Olivares, 36, of Rockford, for driving while his license was revoked, with no insurance, and expired registration.  Cerrito-Olivares was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he received citations for the above charges and was released after processing on a notice to appear.  Cerrito-Olivares vehicle was towed from the scene.

On Aug. 4 at approximately 3:50 p.m. deputies responded to 3961 W. Illinois Route 64 at the Mt. Morris Motel for reports of damage to a vehicle. After a brief investigation, Denise Wagoner, 38, of Mt. Morris, was arrested for criminal damage to property. Wagoner was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was released on a notice to appear with a future court date.

On Aug. 4 at approximately 7 p.m. deputies responded to a residence in the 9,000 block of North Barker Road for a 911 hang-up.  After a brief investigation Andrew Klingele, 34, of Byron, was taken into custody on a warrant for failure to appear in court.  Klingele was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was housed awaiting an appearance before a judge. 

On Aug. 4 at approximately 9 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 19,000 block of East Illinois Route 64 on a 2019 red Jeep Cherokee after observing the vehicle had no operable taillights and it had conducted a lane violation. After an investigation, Alyssa Vicencio, 28, of Dekalb, was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol. Vicencio was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she received citations for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a BAC over .08, improper lane usage, and driving without taillights.  Additionally, Vicencio was charged with two counts of child endangerment, and aggravated driving under the influence while transporting a person under the age of 16. Vicencio was processed and released on a notice to appear as the above-listed charges are non-detainable under the Pretrial Fairness Act.

On Aug. 5 at about 2:30 p.m. deputies responded to Rochelle Community Hospital for a car versus bicycle that occurred in the 9,000 block of East Flagg Road. After a brief investigation, it was determined, Justin Abell, 37, of Rochelle, was traveling west on Flagg Road when he struck a bicyclist operated by Philip Horvath, 20, of Rochelle. Horvath was transported to Rochelle Community Hospital by family for suspected serious injuries. Abell was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

On Aug. 5 at approximately 4 p.m. deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident in the 5,000 block of North Freeport Road.  After an investigation it was determined that a black 2019 Chevrolet Colorado pick-up being driven by Bobby D. Mahr, 43, of Shannon, was southbound when he exited the roadway and struck the guard rail at that location. Mahr stated a vehicle that was northbound at the same location was halfway in the southbound lane forcing him to swerve his vehicle to avoid hitting this other vehicle.  Mahr was uninjured and no citations were issued to him.  The other vehicle involved in this incident is unknown.

On Aug. 5 at approximately 10:30 a.m. The Ogle County Sheriff's Office responded to an address in Lindenwood in reference to a domestic dispute. After completing the investigation, a 16-year-old male was arrested and detained for three counts of domestic battery, one count of disorderly conduct, and one count of criminal damage to property.  The male juvenile was detained at the Kane County Juvenile Detention Center pending a court appearance at the Ogle County Courthouse.

All individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty.
