ROCKFORD — The Rochelle Lady Hub varsity soccer team saw its season come to a close on Tuesday evening, with the purple and white suffering a 9-0 loss against Belvidere North in the IHSA 2A Belvidere North Regional Semifinals at the MercyHealth Sports Complex.
Cortlyn Hefty scored four first-half goals for the second-seeded Blue Thunder, while Atziri Ramos added two first-half goals on the Belvidere North side. The Blue Thunder held an 8-0 lead after the first half and added one second-half goal to clinch the win over the eighth-seeded Lady Hubs (3-20, 0-10 Interstate 8).
