The Ogle County 4-H Fair was held July 31-Aug. 4 at the Ogle County Fairgrounds in Oregon, where 689 4-H livestock exhibits were judged on and showcased by Ogle County's 284 4-H members in 13 clubs.

Earlier in June, Rochelle Community Hospital held four separate sports physical clinics performed this season by Harrison Swalla, MPAS, PA-C; and Carter Gallick, PA-C, ATC of XCEL Orthopedics for student athletes ages high school and younger. In providing this service to the community, RCH charged a small fee for each individual athlete; and in turn donated 100 percent of those proceeds back to the respective program of which each athlete was affiliated.

Kishwaukee Education Consortium (KEC) in Malta had students place, including Abel Huerta (Job Skill Demonstration A), second place; Addison McGlaughlin (Health Occupations Professional Portfolio), fourth place and Chris Thorne (Diesel Equipment Technology), seventh place.
